This is your chance to own one of 100 copies of the 1982 Super Deluxe Silmarillion signed by Christopher Tolkien. This is copy number 20 which can be seen alongside Christopher Tolkien’s signature.
 
The book itself doesn’t seem to have been read as it still shows resistance from just opening the cover. The book itself is fine/near fine with a bit of foxing along the outer pages (shown in photos). Christopher Tolkien’s signature is in amazing shape and doesn’t show signs of aging.
The slipcase is also in fine/near fine condition.
 
This also comes with the original box it was shipped in by George Allen & Unwin (GAU), as well as a letter from them confirming receipt of the order for this very book. Also included is the actual form used to order this book (with the order portion cut out, sent, and received by GAU).
 
Please note that I only opened the book to take photos and to make sure there isn’t a surprise hidden somewhere.
